Barcelona Atletic have confirmed the arrival of winger Óscar Ureña from Girona ahead of the start of the new season.
Urena has joined on a two-year deal and will be hoping he can make an impact with Albert Sánchez’s side in the new campaign.
Here’s Barcelona’s official statement:
“FC Barcelona and Girona FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Óscar Ureña, who joins Barça Atlètic and signs a contract for two seasons, until June 30, 2026.
“The Spanish-Dominican footballer passed the medical tests, got to know the facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and stepped on the turf of the Johan Cruyff Stadium dressed as a Blaugrana.”
Urena is described by Barcelona as a talented winger, who loves a one-on-one, and also has an eye for goal.
He spent last season with Leganes and helped the the team achieve promotion back to La Liga.

Urena then headed to the Paris Olympics where he featured for the Dominican Republic.
Barcelona Atletic are due to kick off their new campaign on Sunday against Real Union.
