Barcelona starlet Dani Rodriguez has been hit with a major injury setback after picking up an issue in pre-season playing for Albert Sanchez’s side.

The Catalans have now confirmed that Rodriguez has sustained a hamstring injury and will miss the next three months of action.

Here’s the club’s official statement:

“The Barça Atlétic player, Dani Rodríguez, has a hamstring injury in his right leg. He will follow a conservative treatment and will be out for a period of approximately 3 months, although his evolution will mark his availability.”

It’s a blow for Rodriguez who is yet another bright talent to emerge from La Masia and who has already trained with the first team at Barcelona.

The club have also recently extended his contract at the club until 2027.

Let’s hope Dani can recover fully and quickly and get back to doing what he does best soon.
