Barcelona are reportedly growing concerned about Lamine Yamal and the intense media spotlight the teenager is currently enjoying after his rapid rise.

Yamal is now firmly established as a key player for club and country despite the fact he only turned 17 over the summer.

The wonderkid has been shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or, won Euro 2024 and has broken all kinds of records for both Barca and Spain.

All of which has, obviously, led to Yamal being thrust into the spotlight which is a situation that worries Barcelona, according to Marca.

The club are said to be concerned about his “excessive prominence” and fear he could become overwhelmed by the whole situation.

The report also suggets Barca aren’t made about the idea of Jorge Mendes being Yamal’s agent when it comes dealing with the media spotlight and making the right decisions.

Yamal does seem to have been dealing with his new-found stardom well so far, but the club look determined to do all they can to keep his feet on the ground.
