Malian wonderkid Ibrahim Diarra to join Barcelona in January

The youngster has been on trial

Barcelona are reportedly set to seal a deal for Malian wonderkid Ibrahim Diarra in January.

Diarra moved to Barcelona in February on trial from Academie Africa Foot in Mali after impressing at the Under-17 World Cup where he scored five times and bagged four assists.

The teenager is said to have made a great impression during his time with the Blaugrana and has done enough to secure a permanent deal.

According to multiple reports, Diarra will sign permanently when he turns 18 in December and officially be part of the club from January.

Diarra is set to link up with Albert Sanchez’s Barcelona Atletic side and will hope that he can do enough to try and catch the attention of first-team boss Hansi Flick.

The youngster is a highly-rated winger with bags of potential and a player Barcelona clearly hope can blossom and have a great future in Catalunya.
