Oscar Mingueza has played down talk he could leave Celta Vigo and return to former club Barcelona.
The defender has been mentioned as a possible target for Barcelona as the club hold a buyback option on him and are short of options at right-back.
Mingueza has now been asked about the speculation and says he’s happy where he is for now.
“Right now I’m not worried about anything. I’m focused on what I do,” he told Marca.
“I have things very clear, I know what I want and right now it’s to be at Celta and have a very good season on an individual and collective level.
“The coach and the board know what I want, I have things very clear. I’m focused on having a good year and on Celta.”
Mingueza and Joshua Kimmich are the two names the rumor mill is currently throwing around regarding right-back options for next season. For the current campaign it seems Jules Kounde will continue with Hector Fort as back-up.
